Extract of the "IARU Championships rules"

CATEGORIES:
- Junior females under 20 years
- Junior males under 20 years
- Females over 20 years
- Males over 20 years
- Senior Females over 40 years
- Senior males over 46 years
A team consists of maximum 12 persons (2 attendants from each category) Individual competitors
and teams can take part as well in the competitions.

CHAMPIONSHIPS PROGRAM:
- Reception of letter messages with PARIS 100 initial speed
- Reception of figure messages with PARIS 150 initial speed
- Reception of mixed messages with PARIS 100 initial speed
- Transmission of letter messages
- Transmission of figure messages
- Transmission of mixed messages
- Radio amateur practicing test (RPT)
TECHNICAL:
The reception messages last during one minute. The transmission messages must be conducted
at the highest speed possible. Straight and electronic keying (no keyboards) are allowed to send the
messages.
All the msg's (except the RPT) will be transmitted and received in 5-character groups.
The RPT consists of the RUFZ and PED computer programs with given conditions. It is not compulsory
to attend in all tests, one can attend only in the RPT section for example.
CLASSIFICATION OF AWARDS:
The summarized results in reception, transmission and RPT will be awarded separately.
Both individual participants and teams will be classified. This is only a short guide of the rules, for more
detailed information contact your native radio club or one of the HST working group members.
